About ProLogIS

The ProLogIS (Laboratory of Productive and Logistic Intelligent Systems) aims to integrate concepts, apply methods (based on simulation, optimization and/or data analysis) and develop decision-making support technologies for data-oriented planning and control of logistics systems and Manufacturing 4.0.

Activities:

ProLogIS has been involved in collaborative research activities and projects in the field of intelligent production and logistics systems. The role of researchers/students in projects within the laboratory/research group enables the development of technical (such as bibliometric and systematic literature review, conceptual modeling, scientific modeling, use of simulation tools, use of languages and software programming and data analysis), interpersonal (such as project management, time management) and communication skills (such as oral English and scientific writing of reports and manuscripts in English).

Cooperation with companies and professionals from the study sectors is fundamental, aiming to adapt the proposed solutions to the necessary operationality for their practical application. This approach is a fundamental component for the promotion of innovation arising from scientific and technological research projects.

ProLogIS also contributes to the nucleation of new businesses, with emphasis on the ongoing technical collaboration with technology-based start-ups.
